What is our scholarship?
Our scholarship is designed to get our nation's youth to think critically about the interaction between laws and society, and how each shapes the other. Specifically, we will ask students to think about the relationship between gun ownership laws and gun violence rates in U.S. society.
How to apply for the scholarship
Write a 500-800 word essay about a law you would submit to Congress which would bring about a reduction in the rate of gun violence in America while still respecting the Second Amendment right to bear arms. Submissions should be sent in Word or PDF form. We are looking for a solution to this problem which is both creative and practical. Infographics are also highly encouraged.
