If you’re planning to apply for an accounting scholarship, read this carefully — then use the checklist at the end to make sure you don’t miss anything.

Overview
- The Idaho Society of CPAs (ISCPA) is accepting scholarship applications for the 2024–2025 academic year.
- Scholarships will be awarded in June 2024.
- Application deadline: May 15, 2024.

Who is eligible
You may apply if you meet all of the following:
- Idaho resident.
- Majoring in Accounting.
- Enrolled full-time at an Idaho college or university as either:
- an undergraduate in your junior or senior year (third or fourth year), or
- a graduate student.
- Have at least two semesters (or equivalent) of coursework remaining after June 2024.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher for all coursework completed before you apply.

Notes on GPA and non-traditional students
- If you are a non-traditional student who has not been enrolled in higher education for at least three years, you are exempt from the 2.75 cumulative GPA requirement for the first semester (or quarter) of the scholarship.
- All scholarship recipients must maintain the required GPA for each semester the scholarship is in effect.

How recipients are selected
ISCPA will review all complete applications and recommend recipients based on:
- A genuine desire for further education or professional training.
- Individual achievement shown through activities, leadership roles, and/or work experience.
- Academic performance (GPA/standing) will be considered but is not the primary factor.

How to apply (step-by-step)
1) Complete and submit the online application form.
- Important: the form cannot be saved. If you leave the page before clicking Submit, your entries will be lost.
2) Email (or fax) these items to info@idcpa.org:
- Your most recent college/university transcript (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
- Your most recent grades, if they aren’t shown on the transcript.
- One letter of recommendation from either an accounting instructor who has taught you, an internship supervisor, or an employer.

Final reminders (teacher-to-student)
- INCOMPLETE applications will not be considered. Double-check your packet before sending.
- Deadline: May 15, 2024. Plan ahead — transcripts and recommendation letters can take time.
- Awards announced in June 2024.
