State Troopers Scholarship Programs
Scholarship Sponsored by American Association of State Troopers
The AAST Foundation awards scholarships to children of AAST members. Below is a clear, teacher-style checklist to help you prepare and submit a complete application.
Eligibility
- Children eligible include biological children, legally adopted children, stepchildren, or children raised as the member’s own (must be claimed as a dependent on income tax).
Important deadline
- Applications must be postmarked by July 31. Applications postmarked after July 31 will not be processed.
What is and isn’t accepted
- Faxed applications are not accepted.
- Official, original transcripts are accepted.
- Official internet transcripts are accepted only if they are sent directly to AAST from the college or university.
Reasons a scholarship may be denied
- Scholarships may be denied for just cause, including but not limited to:
- Grade point average dropping below the required average,
- Dropping out of school,
- Failing to meet or comply with Foundation requirements.
Ownership and publication
- Applications, essays, photos, acceptance letters, and transcripts become the property of the AASTF.
- These materials may be published to promote the scholarship program (for example, on the Association’s website or in the Foundation’s Annual Report).
- Essays, acceptance letters, photos, and transcripts will not be returned.
Award conditions
- Scholarships will not be awarded until all application criteria have been met.

- Mail or email the application with ALL required documentation to:

- Either mail the official transcript or have it sent digitally from the institution attended.
