National Spanish Examination Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by National Spanish Examinations
Pursuant to its mission, AATSP Exams (NSE), a program of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP), is committed to recognizing student achievement and promoting language proficiency in the studies of Spanish and Portuguese. To this end, AATSP Exams (NSE) will offer scholarships of $1,000 to graduating seniors in 2025 to support their post-secondary educational expenses.
ELIGIBILITY
For this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a graduating senior that has scored at or above the 75th percentile on the 2022/23 and 2023/24 NSE/NPE and be taking the NSE/NPE during the 2024/25 academic year.
- The graduating senior must be entering a college/university/trade school in the immediately following academic year (no gap-year exceptions).
Note: One student per teacher may apply and teachers must select an applicant from their own school. Students may apply for scholarships from the SHH (NSE’s sister organization) in addition to the NSE, but they may only be awarded ONE scholarship. If a student does not attend a tertiary educational facility immediately following graduation from high school, the scholarship will be forfeited.
