- Letters of recommendation must be received by March 31.
- Finalists are notified in late April and must attend a program in Colorado Springs in June; final awards are confirmed then.

- One-page personal statement plus an additional essay (350–500 words).
- Student Aid Report (SAR) from your FAFSA (obtain by completing FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov).
