Our goal is simple: help young women reach their full potential by providing college scholarships and opportunities for personal growth so they become confident, capable leaders. Before you apply — what you need to know - Local participation is required. To qualify for any Distinguished Young Women scholarship, you must take part in the program for your area. That involvement typically includes attending rehearsals and participating in an on‑stage performance, subject to local COVID‑19 safety guidelines. - You must compete in every category. Scores are weighted as follows: - Scholastics — 25% - Interview — 25% - Talent — 20% - Fitness — 15% - Self‑Expression — 15% - How to apply: complete and submit the application form. After you apply, your local program will contact you with details about participation, rehearsal schedules, and next steps. If you want to be competitive, plan ahead—be ready to prepare material for each category and make time for required rehearsals.
