UAB National Alumni Society Scholarships

The UAB National Alumni Society, in collaboration with our esteemed schools and colleges, is delighted to announce that we have successfully raised over $2.9 million from our generous alumni in the 2020-2021 academic year. These funds are earmarked for the provision of student scholarships. We are deeply gratified to be able to extend this much-needed financial assistance to a broad spectrum of students. This includes legacy students, incoming freshmen, transfer students, graduate students, upperclassmen, and international students.
Eligibility Criteria
A) Residency and Application: The student must be a resident of the State of Alabama and must have a completed application on file with the UAB National Alumni Society.
B) Enrollment and Academic Performance: The student must be enrolled on a full-time basis, attending both semesters in an academic year, and maintain an overall GPA of 3.0. This scholarship is available to both undergraduate and graduate students who are either transfer students or currently enrolled UAB students.
C) Previous Academic Record: The student must have an existing GPA of at least 3.0 from their prior college or high school experience. If the student has previously been in poor academic standing, they must have completed at least twelve credit hours at UAB and have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0.
