Alabama Presidential Academic Scholarship

The Presidential Scholarship is a prestigious award that covers the full cost of tuition, textbooks, mandatory fees, and on-campus housing for a specified duration. For incoming freshmen, this scholarship is applicable for eight semesters, while for students transferring from other colleges, it is valid for six semesters. For high school students aspiring to be freshmen, the eligibility criteria are as follows: The applicant must have achieved a grade point average (GPA) of 3.76 or higher on a 4.0 scale in their academic subjects. Additionally, they must have an ACT score of 26 or above, or a comparable SAT score of 1240 (EBR/W and Math). For students intending to transfer from another college, the requirements are slightly different. These applicants must have a GPA of 3.76 or higher on a 4.0 scale, but this must be after the completion of at least 24 semester hours (or 36 quarter hours) of credit. Furthermore, the college from which they are transferring must be an accredited institution.
