Overview
These terms apply to Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Tuition Scholarship offers that are first issued for the 2024–2025 academic year. If you received your scholarship offer in an earlier year, go to the Scholarship selection menu and open the Terms and Conditions for the year your award was originally offered.

Before you apply: read each scholarship listing carefully for any additional eligibility rules tied to residency classification, campus, location or delivery modality. Eligibility rules can differ by scholarship.

Who this scholarship is for
The PTK Tuition Scholarship is a competitive undergraduate tuition award for community-college (two-year) transfer students who are working toward their first bachelor’s degree.

Award amounts
- Main Campus
- Arizona residents: $5,000 per academic year
- Non‑Arizona residents: $12,000 per academic year
- Distance Campus
- Arizona and non‑Arizona residents: $3,000 per academic year

Selection and required documentation
To be considered, applicants must meet all of the following:

1. Community‑college only after high school
- You must have attended only community college(s) after graduating high school. If you enrolled at any four‑year college or university after high school graduation, you are not eligible.

2. GPA
- Minimum combined cumulative college GPA of 3.50 from all post‑secondary institutions attended.

3. Units completed
- At least 36 units completed at a community college by the time you are admitted to the University of Arizona.
- Note: “Total attempted college units” includes all attempted coursework from accredited post‑high‑school institutions and dual‑enrollment units. Unaccredited or non‑credit college attendance does not affect eligibility.

4. Phi Theta Kappa designation
- PTK must be shown on your community college transcript.
- If your college does not list PTK on the transcript, email a copy of your PTK certificate to the Undergraduate Admissions Office at admissions@arizona.edu.

Application and deadlines
- Your completed Arizona Transfer Admission Application for Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 doubles as the PTK scholarship application.
- Deadlines:
- Fall 2024 admits: admission application must be completed by July 1, 2024
- Spring 2025 admits: admission application must be completed by December 1, 2024

Eligibility (general)
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents, applicants who can demonstrate lawful immigration status, or qualifying non‑citizen Arizona high school graduates receiving in‑state tuition under Proposition 308.
- Must be pursuing your first bachelor’s degree.
- You must begin using the award in the term it was offered (Fall 2024 or Spring 2025).

Renewal
- To keep the scholarship for a subsequent academic year, you must meet the University’s standard minimum renewal requirements by the end of the academic year (fall, winter, spring and summer semesters). Check the Scholarship selection menu or contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office if you need details about the renewal standards.
