The Glen C. Smith Jr./KCC Caddie Scholarship was established at the Kalamazoo Community Foundation in 1985 by the Kalamazoo Country Club Caddie Committee in honor of Glen Smith, Jr. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide scholarship assistance to young people in qualified caddie programs at member clubs of the Golf Association of Michigan and the Western Golf Association.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduating high school senior or graduate from a high school located within Kalamazoo County or is a graduating high school senior or high school graduate who is a Kalamazoo County resident; golf caddie for two (2) years at the Kalamazoo Country Club or at a member club of the Golf Association of Michigan or the Western Golf Association; enrolled or planning to enroll in a two- or four-year college/university or a vocational or technical training program full-time; minimum 2.00 GPA; demonstrates leadership potential through participation in school, civic, or community activities; preference given to students who demonstrate financial need.
