Cincinnatus Scholarship Program
Scholarship Sponsored by University of Cincinnati
The Cincinnatus scholarship program, a flagship initiative of the University of Cincinnati, annually allocates over $22 million in renewable scholarships. This program is designed to support the most academically gifted and promising incoming first-year students across all academic disciplines.
To be considered for this prestigious award, prospective first-year students must submit a fully completed application, along with all necessary supporting documents, by December 1 of their senior year in high school.
Among the scholarships offered under the Cincinnatus program, there are 20 Presidential Scholarships. Each of these scholarships, valued at $120,000, is awarded annually to students who demonstrate exceptional academic prowess. This generous scholarship, estimated at $30,000 per year, covers full tuition, fees, room, board, and even a book allowance.
In addition to the Presidential Scholarships, the Cincinnatus program also offers numerous Century and University Scholarships. These scholarships range from $6,000 to $24,000 ($1,500 to $6,000 per year) and are awarded annually to academically competitive students.
For students who are not eligible for Indiana Metro Rate or Reciprocity, Kentucky Metro Rate or Reciprocity, or the National Outreach Scholarship award, an additional $3,000 Cincinnatus Out-of-State Scholarship is added to their awards.
All Cincinnatus scholarships are renewable for the duration of the undergraduate academic program, provided that the student maintains a 3.0 GPA and fulfills the annual 30-hour community service requirement.
The selection of qualifying students for these scholarships will be based on their overall admission application. The consideration for award amounts will be based on the qualifying students for each academic program. Notifications and associated details will commence in February and continue through the final awards in mid-March.
A complete first-year application includes the Common Application, a $50 non-refundable application fee (or fee waiver), an official high school transcript, official ACT or SAT test scores (optional), and a letter of recommendation (optional).
