Terry Foundation Freshman Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Terry Foundation Scholars
The Terry Freshman Scholarship, known as the Terry Traditional Scholarship, is awarded to Texas high school seniors who have been accepted for admission to one of the Terry-affiliated public universities in Texas.

What are the qualifications for Freshman Applicants?
A) Demonstrated financial need (as evidenced by the completion of the FAFSA)
B) A record of leadership in school and community
C) Strong academic abilities as evidenced by grades and SAT/ACT scores
D) Be a U.S. citizen or a Permanent Resident and meet Texas residency requirements
E) Qualify for in-state tuition and for federal financial aid assistance
F) Graduation from an accredited Texas high school or homeschool
G) Apply and commit to residing on campus for the first year
H) Admission to a Terry-affiliated college or university as a full-time entering Freshman student for the Fall immediately following High School graduation
I) Nomination by one of the thirteen Terry-affiliated Texas public universities
Freshman Qualifications
A) Academic Achievement
Applicants must demonstrate strong academic abilities, as evidenced by grades and SAT/ACT scores.
B) Demonstrated Leadership
Applicants must have a record of leadership in school and in the community.
C) Financial Need
Applicants must demonstrate financial need, as evidenced by the completion of the FAFSA.
D) Citizenship and Residency
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or a Permanent Resident and meet Texas residency requirements. Candidates must also qualify for in-state tuition and for federal financial aid assistance.
E) High School Graduate
Applicants must have graduated from an accredited Texas high school or homeschool. Applicants who have taken a gap year immediately following their graduation from high school are not eligible for consideration.
F) College Admission
Applicants must be admitted to a Terry-affiliated college or university as a full-time entering Freshman student for the upcoming Fall Semester.
G) On-Campus Residency
Applicants must apply and commit to residing on campus for the first year of school.
H) Terry School Nomination
Applicants must be nominated by one of the thirteen Terry-affiliated Texas public universities.
