Prepatory and Pregraduate Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Indian Health Service
Our Preparatory scholarship provides financial aid to qualified American Indian and Alaska Native undergraduate students. Recipients must be members or descendents of federally recognized, state-recognized or terminated Tribes enrolled in preparatory courses or prerequisite courses leading to enrollment in an eligible health professions degree program.
Specific Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must also meet specific eligibility requirements to qualify for a Preparatory or Pre-Graduate scholarship.
A) Be a high school graduate or the equivalent.
B) Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0.
C) Be capable of completing a health profession degree program.
D) Intend to serve Indian people as a health professional in your chosen specialty.
E) Be willing to sign an IHS Scholarship Program Agreement (IHS-817) documenting that you're committed to continuing your education in your identified health profession degree program.
