Purpose
We believe champions are made, not born. At The Champion Firm, Personal Injury Attorneys, P.C., we owe much of our success to teachers, coaches, parents, and mentors who helped shape us. The Atlanta Future Champions Scholarship is our way of paying that forward—helping motivated students in the Atlanta metro area take the next step toward their goals.

Who should apply
This scholarship is for students who show strong character, a commitment to community service or servant leadership, and the drive to become the best in their field. If you are a high school senior or a college student living in the Atlanta metro area and planning to attend a U.S. college, university, graduate school, or law school, we encourage you to apply.

Eligibility (key facts)
- Open to high school seniors and current college students who live in one of these Georgia counties: Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding, or Rockdale.
- Applicants must be legal residents of the United States (one of the 50 states or D.C.).
- Employees of The Champion Firm, Personal Injury Attorneys, P.C., their immediate family members (parent, child, sibling, spouse), and anyone living in the same household are not eligible.

Award
- One-time $5,000 scholarship.
- Paid directly to the registrar’s office of the college or university you report as your intended school.
- Funds may be used toward tuition, fees, housing, and/or books up to the Cost of Attendance.
- The scholarship is not renewable.

Deadline
- The contest is open now. All applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on Sunday, May 31, 2026. Submissions received before that time will be accepted.

How to apply (simple checklist)
1. Fill out the online application form with:
- Name, address, date of birth, and educational background (graduation year and high school).
- A link to your video.
- Your 500–1,000 word essay pasted into the form.
- Confirmation that you understand a Letter of Recommendation will be sent by someone who knows you.
2. Create and submit a 30–60 second video.
3. Ask an employer, teacher, or school/career counselor to submit a Letter of Recommendation by email directly to marketing@thechampionfirm.com.
4. If you win, you must provide an official transcript and sign required forms (see “Selection and award” below).

What to submit (details and tips)
- Video (30–60 seconds)
- Tell us about someone who has influenced your education, career, or goals.
- Describe your dreams and goals, how you plan to become a champion, and how this scholarship will help.
- Be creative—serious, funny, inspiring—whatever fits you. Shoot it on your phone; you don’t need professional gear.
- Preferred delivery: a link via Dropbox or Google Drive, but other methods are acceptable.
- Essay (500–1,000 words)
- Expand on your video: explain your future goals and how the scholarship would support them.
- Show character and examples of community service or leadership.
- Letter of Recommendation
- Must come from an employer, teacher, or school/career counselor who knows you well and can speak to why you deserve the award.
- The recommender must email the letter directly to marketing@thechampionfirm.com before the deadline.
- Transcript
- If you are selected as the winner, you will be required to submit an official transcript.

Content rules (what will disqualify a submission)
- Your video and essay must be your original work and not previously published.
- Submissions that, in the Firm’s sole discretion, contain defamatory, obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or discriminatory content (based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, etc.), infringe on third-party rights, violate any law, are illegible, or are late will be disqualified.
- Entries will not be returned and may be shared on The Champion Firm’s social media pages.

Submission address for videos and letters
- Video files or links: marketing@thechampionfirm.com (Dropbox/Google Drive preferred)
- Letters of recommendation must be emailed by the recommender to: marketing@thechampionfirm.com

Selection and notification
- All qualified entries will be reviewed by The Champion Firm team without regard to protected characteristics.
- The scholarship winner will be notified by email using the contact information provided in the application.
- Before funds are released, the winner must complete and return:
- An Affidavit of Eligibility and Compliance with Official Rules,
- A Publicity Release,
- A Release of Liability.
- These required documents must be returned within 14 days of notification; otherwise an alternate winner may be chosen.
- If you told us you will attend a particular institution but later decide on a different qualifying school, notify The Champion Firm within two months of notification so funds can be redirected.

A few practical tips (from a teacher)
- Be specific: name people, programs, and concrete goals.
- Show evidence of service or leadership—not just good intentions.
- Keep your video focused and practice your message before you press record.
- Ask your recommender early; they need to email the letter by the deadline.
