NFAA Scholarship Program

Overview
The NFAA Pro Scholarship is supported by the Professional Division membership dues and is awarded once a year to two promising young archers — one male and one female. Each recipient receives $1,000 to help toward continued education.
Who this scholarship is for
This award is intended for high school students who are actively competing in archery:
- Age: 15–18
- Grade level: sophomore, junior, or senior
- Must be a current, valid NFAA member
- Minimum cumulative high school GPA: 3.0
Important dates and award delivery
- Application window: January 1 – April 30
- Winners notified by: July 30
- Award payment: funds are sent directly to the institution of higher education once the recipient is enrolled
Selection process
1. The NFAA Executive Secretary first checks each application for completeness.
2. Complete applications are then evaluated by a review committee made up of the NFAA President, the NFAA Pro Chairman, and three professional archers chosen by the NFAA Pro Chairman.
The committee selects one male and one female recipient each year.
Required application materials (checklist)
Please submit all of the following:
- Personal statement
- Shooter résumé that details archery involvement at the local and/or state level
- Letter describing community involvement and/or job experience
- At least one letter of recommendation
- Most recent high school transcript
- Current photograph
A few practical notes from a teacher
Prepare and organize your materials carefully before submitting. Make sure your transcript reflects the required GPA and that your personal statement and résumé clearly describe your competitive archery experience and community contributions.
