Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholarship

The Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) are prestigious awards bestowed upon the most academically accomplished high school seniors in Wisconsin. These scholarships are distributed to the students with the highest grade point averages in both public and private high schools across the state. The number of scholarships that each high school is eligible to receive is determined by the total student enrollment in grades 9 through 12. To be considered for this scholarship, students must be enrolled full-time by September 30th of the academic year following their designation as a scholar. This enrollment must be at a participating University of Wisconsin, a Wisconsin Technical College, or an independent institution within the state. The AES is valued at $2,250 annually, which is applied directly towards tuition costs. This scholarship is jointly funded, with half of the amount provided by the state and the other half matched by the institution. It's important to note that eligibility for this scholarship does not extend beyond eight semesters.
