Good news — the Merchants Association of Columbia County continues to support local students through its long-running scholarship program. It began in the 1960s when the association was first chartered and has grown steadily thanks to successful fundraising events. The Association recognized its 2024 scholarship recipients at the monthly meeting on Thursday, May 23rd, held at the Columbia County Fairgrounds. A few important points for current seniors: - Eligibility: Open to all seniors attending high school in Columbia County. - Deadline: Turn in your completed application before March 1, 2025. - Next step: See your guidance counselor as soon as possible to get the application and ask any questions.
