Overview
The Oregon Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) is offering scholarships for the 2026–27 academic year for students who will be enrolled full‑time at a community college or university as sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students. Scholarships may be applied to tuition and are open to current OCA members and their children.
Key details
- Application deadline: May 1, 2026 (applications must be postmarked, faxed, emailed, or hand‑delivered by this date).
- Total scholarship funds available: up to $9,000.
- Recipients will be notified by email and may be announced at the Mid‑Year Meeting on June 26, 2026, in Madras, Oregon.
- Scholarship payments will be sent directly to the recipient’s institution to pay tuition.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be either a current Oregon Cattlemen’s Association member or the child of a current member.
- Applicant must be enrolled full‑time (2026–27 academic year) as a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student at a community college or university.
- Students in any major may apply, but the application must demonstrate some relevance to the livestock industry.
What to submit
- Completed application form (use the current form for the 2026–27 academic year).
- Transcripts covering the applicant’s last full year of school. If you attended more than one school during that year, include transcripts from all schools.
- Any additional documents you wish to attach for clarity or space. (Do not use report covers or binders; extra pages are fine as long as you identify which question you’re answering.)
How to submit
- Mail (postmarked by May 1, 2026), fax, email, or hand‑deliver your completed application and supporting materials.

- Hand deliveries must be received by the OCA office before 5:00 PM on May 1, 2026 (the office closes at 5:00 PM).
Important notes and checklist
- Applications dated after May 1, 2026, or using an outdated form will not be considered.
- Make sure every required field is completed and the application is signed. Applications with missing information or unsigned forms are ineligible.
- Keep copies of everything you submit and ensure transcripts are official where required.
