Who is eligible
- The student must be a graduating high school senior.
- The student must be a dependent of a parent or legal guardian who receives electric service from an Energy Southeast Member city/utility at the time the application is submitted and through the student’s graduation.
- The student must plan to attend an Alabama institution: a four-year college/university, a community college, or a vocational/trade school.

Required application materials (all must be included)
1. Official high school transcript.
2. Official ACT or SAT score certificate. If you submit a photocopy, your school counselor must sign it.
3. A resume listing school extracurriculars, church and community service, work experience, and volunteer activities you want considered.
4. Two letters of recommendation (no relatives).

Signatures and certification
- The application must be signed by both the student and the parent/legal guardian. If either signature is missing, the application is incomplete and will not be considered.
- By signing and submitting the application and attachments, the student and parent/legal guardian certify that the information provided is true and agree to the scholarship conditions.

Scholarship conditions (important — read these)
1. Scholarships are awarded only to graduating high school seniors.
2. The applicant must be a dependent of an electric customer of an Energy Southeast Member city/utility at application time and through graduation.
3. The student must enroll in an eligible Alabama institution (four-year college, community college, or vocational/trade school).
4. Scholarship funds will be paid by Energy Southeast directly to the educational institution and credited to the student’s account.
5. The scholarship must be used within 16 months after the student’s graduation.
6. Scholarship recipients will be announced and awarded in the spring.
7. Incomplete applications (including missing attachments or signatures) will be disqualified.
