AAUW Atascadero (CA) Branch Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by American Association of University Women Inc
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) works to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. Locally, the Atascadero Branch supports that mission by awarding annual scholarships to women who have completed at least one year of college at an accredited institution and who have ties to our North County communities.
About the scholarships
- Awards typically range from $500 to $2,000.
- The Georgie Arnold Scholarship was established by Georgie’s family and friends in memory of her commitment to teaching; that fund is reserved for women pursuing careers in education.
Who may apply
Eligibility is limited to applicants who meet at least one of the following:
- Residents of Atascadero, Santa Margarita, Templeton, or Paso Robles;
- Members of the Atascadero Branch of AAUW; or
- Women who graduated from one of the local high schools listed above but now live elsewhere to attend college.
Additional notes
- Applicants may be enrolled at any level of higher education.
- Women pursuing degrees in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) are especially encouraged to apply.

- Volunteer and community involvement;
- Letters of reference.
