Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards

Overview The Youth Awards were founded in 1998 by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation to recognize outstanding high school seniors who do more than excel in class — they lead in their communities and show promise in fields like engineering, technology, and sustainability. Now entering their 27th year, the Awards celebrate students who combine academic achievement with meaningful action.
What the Awards do
- Honor top high school seniors with Gold, Silver, and Bronze distinctions in each category.
- Provide a one‑time grant to winners to help pay for college or to support a community service project that addresses a social issue.
- Welcome recipients into a larger network of HHF alumni and professionals (over 200,000 strong) and celebrate them in virtual ceremonies.
- Serve as the primary pipeline into HHF’s Latinos On Fast Track (LOFT) program, which supports young leaders as they move from high school to college, graduate school, and careers.
Who is eligible
- Current high school or home‑school seniors expected to graduate in spring 2026.
- Minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale).
- Plan to enroll at an accredited institution of higher education for the 2026–2027 academic year.
- If selected, recipients must attend the virtual awards ceremony.
