Who this is for
If you’re an undergraduate student at George Mason University with an interest in political economy, this program is designed for you. It’s a good fit for curious students who want guided exposure to research, career paths, and graduate-school preparation in the field.
What the program provides
Award: Up to $1,000 per semester, which can cover:
- A stipend
- Meals and all required readings
- Mentoring and practical advice on research opportunities, job searches, and graduate school
How admissions work and deadlines
- Admissions follow a rolling policy and applications are reviewed monthly.
- Applications submitted after the deadlines below may still be considered, but only for future semesters.
- Final deadlines to be considered for a given semester:
- Fall participation: May 30
- Spring participation: January 15
Who is eligible
You must be either:
- Currently enrolled in a degree-granting undergraduate program at George Mason University, or
- Applying to a degree-granting undergraduate program at George Mason University
