If you are a student of an accredited college or university, full or part time, undergraduate or graduate students who is taking courses in order to pursue a career in the various phases of the science of identification or the law enforcement field and are interested in becoming a student member of the TNIAI, please visit the Membership section of the website to apply.
Scholarships
The TN IAI awards a $500 scholarship for full-time or $250 for part-time students each semester. We have a summer scholarship as well for $250. Deadline for Summer and Fall is May 1st. Deadline for Spring is November 1st. Any candidate for the scholarship must meet the following requirements:
- A full/part time student at an accredited college/university, to include graduate level students.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA for first time applicants and a 2.75 GPA to reapply (transcripts required)
- Sophomore year or higher (Thirty (30) semester hours not including remedial or developmental classes)
- A summary of the applicant’s academic and career goals
- Two (2) letters of recommendation on letterhead directly submitted to the TN IAI
- The funds must be used for tuition and/or books during the semester
