Every year Boreal Waters awards more than $800,000 in scholarships to students across northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. These awards, funded by generous individuals, families, and organizations, are meant to help learners of all ages continue their education, expand their opportunities, and return value to their communities.
If you’re planning to attend college, a technical school, or pursue another form of post‑secondary education, start here: use the Boreal Waters search tool to find scholarships that fit your background, interests, and hometown. Most scholarships are handled through a single Universal Application that opens in December 2025 and closes February 24, 2026—mark those dates on your calendar.

- Graduates of Duluth Denfeld or Duluth East High School
- Demonstrated financial need
