Shelving.com has been a family-owned business for more than 60 years, supplying durable storage solutions across the country. They want to invest in the next generation of business leaders, so they are offering the 2025 Shelving.com Business Scholarship to Michigan students pursuing business-related studies.
Important dates and awards
- Application opens: Monday, April 21, 2025 (online)
- Application deadline: Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11:59 pm EST
- Winners announced: Monday, July 21, 2025 at 10:00 am EST
- Prizes: 1st — $4,000; runner-up — $2,500; second runner-up — $1,500
Who is eligible
You may apply if you meet all of the following:
- You are a Michigan resident. (If you live in Michigan but attend college out of state, you are still eligible.)
- You are either currently enrolled at an accredited college or university, or you are a high school senior who will be enrolled at an accredited college or university no later than Fall 2025.
- You are pursuing a major in business or a business-related field.
- You have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8.
What to submit
All applicants must provide:
- Current transcript (official or unofficial)
- Resume
- Essay (250–1,000 words) answering this prompt: “How are you currently utilizing — or plan to utilize — your business-related field of study to serve your community?”
If you are not yet attending college, also include proof of enrollment or an enrollment plan.
How applications are judged
Selections are based on academic record and the quality and substance of your essay.
How to apply
- Complete the online application form (available on this page beginning April 21, 2025).
- Attach your essay, transcript, and resume. Submit everything by the July 3 deadline.
Receiving the award
If you win, you must verify Michigan residency before funds are disbursed. Acceptable proof includes a Michigan ID card, Michigan driver’s license, or a document that shows Michigan tuition status.
