The Lower Connecticut Valley Branch of AAUW, through its Education and Scholarship Program (ESP), is now accepting applications for the 2025 Education Grants.
What this program offers
- One-time education grants of $5,000 are available.
- Recipients are selected on the basis of their personal goals, academic performance, and demonstrated financial need.
Who is eligible
- Must be at least 20 years old by December 31, 2025.
- Currently pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university.
- Must reside in Middlesex County or New London County, Connecticut.
Important dates
- Grant process opens: March 2025.
- Application deadline: June 9, 2025.
- Awards announced: July 2025.

- Submission details and any required materials are included on the application form. Read the application carefully and submit by the June 9 deadline.
Scholarships for leadership conferences (college women)
- In addition to the $5,000 education grants, the branch provides scholarships that enable college women to attend an AAUW-promoted leadership conference.
- The conference is held in May at the University of Maryland and focuses on advocacy, health and wellness, and leadership development — skills that help students succeed on campus, in their communities, and later in their careers.
