Overview
- APIA Scholars provides scholarships for undergraduate students attending U.S.-accredited colleges and universities. Awards range from $2,500 (one-year) to $20,000 (multi-year).
- The program especially supports students who are first in their family to attend college and those living at or below the poverty line.
- Scholarships are available for students planning to attend or currently attending 2-year and 4-year institutions.
Where recipients come from
- Over the past 20 years, APIA Scholars has funded students from all 50 states (including Hawaii and Alaska) and from U.S.-affiliated Pacific Islands such as Guam, the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau.
Who is eligible to apply
All applicants must meet these requirements:
- Citizenship/residency: Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or legal permanent resident. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau are also eligible.
- Enrollment: Be enrolling or continuing as a degree-seeking undergraduate student at a U.S.-accredited college or university for fall 2026. Both full‑time and part‑time degree-seeking students may apply.
- Degree level: Students pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree are eligible. Students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree (or a higher degree) are NOT eligible.
