Lessons in Your Home Scholarship

Here’s a clear, teacher-approved version of the information so you know exactly what’s required and how to apply.
Eligibility
- The Lessons In Your Home Scholarship is open to both prospective and currently enrolled college students.
- Applicants must be full-time students.
- You must be studying music in some form — this can be a major or a minor in music, music business, performance, or production.
- You must be attending a college or university in the United States.
- Applicants must be 18 or older. (High school seniors who will be entering college are welcome to apply.)
- If selected, you must be able to provide required documents such as proof of enrollment, your essay, and any other requested information.
Award
- One $500 scholarship will be awarded for Fall 2024.
- Funds may be used for educational expenses (tuition, books, room and board, and other appropriate costs).
How to apply (what to send)
Email isaiah@lessonsinyourhome.net with all of the following:
1. Your full name, mailing address, phone number, the college you will attend or are attending, and your major.
2. A brief statement (under 300 words) describing your history with music, what you’re currently studying, and your musical goals for the future.
3. A link to a YouTube video of you performing (playing, singing, or directing). Note: if you win, your performance and basic information may be shared on the Lessons In Your Home site.
4. If chosen as the recipient, you will be asked to provide proof of enrollment and any other required documents.
