If you’re planning to enter this scholarship contest, here’s a clear, teacher-approved breakdown of what to do and what we’re looking for. Who can apply - High school seniors, and students currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year undergraduate program (including technical schools) in Texas. Why we offer this - We believe education is one of the best paths to a rewarding 21st-century career, and we’re proud to support students with scholarship awards. What to submit - A creative video entry posted to TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube. (Check the contest website for full submission instructions, platform requirements, and how to tag or submit your link.) Choose one prompt for your video - Describe a family, school, or social situation where your leadership made a difference. What was achieved? - Explain why you deserve this scholarship and the impact you plan to make. - Tell us about your biggest influence or inspiration. - What does “innovation” mean to you? How will you use innovation in your career or academics to affect the world? - Recall a time you had to be brave or stand up for what you believed in. - Describe a contribution you’ve made to your community. Deadlines and timeline - Submissions open: October 5, 2025 - Submissions close: May 5, 2026 - Winners announced: June 2, 2026 How winners are chosen - A selection committee will choose six scholarship winners in Texas. The primary criteria are originality and creativity — the more thoughtful and imaginative your entry, the better. Teacher tips for a strong entry - Tell a clear story: a brief setup, the action you took, and the outcome or lesson. - Be specific: concrete examples are more persuasive than general statements. - Show, don’t just tell: visuals, footage of what you did, or meaningful artifacts make your message stick. - Be authentic: judges respond to honest, reflective work. - Follow the contest’s posting and tagging instructions exactly (see the website) so your entry is eligible.
