UCBeyond Scholarship — who this is for and how to tell if you qualify
The UCBeyond Scholarship is aimed at students living with chronic inflammatory diseases (CIDs). Examples include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis. If you’re managing one of these conditions and planning to pursue further education in Canada, this scholarship may be for you.
Eligibility checklist
You may apply if all of the following are true:
- You are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada.
- You have a chronic inflammatory disease that has been diagnosed by a physician.
- You are pursuing (or plan to pursue) one of the following at a Canadian institution:
- an associate’s, undergraduate, or graduate degree at a university, or
- a diploma or certificate at a college, or
- an enrolled program at a Canadian trade school.
- You are enrolled in, or awaiting acceptance to, a Canadian post‑secondary program for the fall/winter 2025–2026 semester.
- You demonstrate academic ambition and a commitment to living life beyond the limitations of inflammatory arthritis.
Important note
If you have already received the UCBeyond scholarship in the past, you are not eligible to apply again.
If you meet these criteria, gather your documentation (including your physician’s diagnosis) and keep an eye out for the application details.
