Every Student Succeeding Program
Scholarship Sponsored by Association of California School Administrators
This award is designed to recognize and celebrate students across all educational levels, from pre-kindergarten to adult education, who have demonstrated exceptional resilience and determination in their academic journey. These are students who have defied the odds, exceeded expectations, or deeply touched the hearts of their educators and administrators through their commitment to achieving their goals. One student from each region will be selected for this honor.
Eligibility Criteria. The nominees for this award should be students who have shown extraordinary effort to succeed, overcoming various challenges such as:
- Returning to school after a hiatus
- Breaking away from gang involvement
- Significantly improving their school attendance
- Transforming their attitude towards learning
- Overcoming physical or mental health barriers
Additionally, these students should demonstrate active participation in:
- After-school programs
- Community service initiatives
- Student conflict resolution activities
- Cross-age tutoring programs
- Peer mediation and tutoring
Nominees may be enrolled in various programs such as:
- Alternative Education
- At-risk programs
- Bilingual education
- Continuation School
Nomination Process. Nominations should be submitted directly to the nominee's respective region. Each region will then select one student recipient to be honored at various regional events throughout the year.
- Nomination forms can be downloaded from the ACSA website at www.acsa.org/awards under the 'Nomination Forms' tab.
- Selected students will be recognized at ACSA's Leadership Summit in November, as well as at various regional events.
- For information on the deadline for nominations, please contact your regional leadership.
- The deadline for regional leadership to submit recipient information to the state ACSA is March 3, 2025.
