Modern Mountain “Rise Up” Baking Scholarship — quick overview
This scholarship is for students who intend to pursue a professional career in Baking & Pastry Arts. It exists to help remove one barrier—money—and to connect promising new bakers with support as they begin their first year of post‑secondary training. The application is intentionally simple: a short set of essays and a few supporting documents. And yes, we’d like to give you a little “dough” to start your baking education.

Who can apply (eligibility)
- You have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- You are a U.S. citizen.
- You have been accepted to, or are enrolled in, a Baking & Pastry Arts program at a U.S.-accredited post‑secondary institution (college or university) as a first‑year undergraduate student — part‑time or full‑time.
- Note: You may submit an application while you’re still applying to programs, but you must provide proof of acceptance by the application deadline (May 31, 2026) to be considered for the award.

What you must submit (application components)
- Short essay responses:
- What does baking mean to you? (Recommended length: 300–500 words.) Describe your long‑term goals and why you’ve chosen a career in baking and pastry arts.
- What is your best baking tip or trick? (Keep it clear and practical.)
- A current, complete transcript showing a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proof of enrollment (or proof of acceptance) in a Baking & Pastry Arts program for the 2026/2027 school year. If you haven’t yet received acceptance, be prepared to supply it by May 31, 2026.
