Students — if you care about human dignity and want to use your voice where it matters, we want your help. Join our social media campaign to raise national awareness and push back against the dehumanizing forces of human trafficking and child exploitation. Below are the requirements and clear guidance on how to submit a persuasive, two‑minute pitch.
Who can apply
- Current high school seniors or college students in their freshman, sophomore, or junior year.
- Planning to enroll at an accredited college, university, or community college in the upcoming academic year.
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
- Minimum GPA: 2.50.
What to submit
- A recorded video (maximum 2 minutes) that makes a persuasive case for why ending human trafficking matters to your generation.
- Follow the upload instructions provided by the program (do not exceed the time limit).
Questions your video can address
Use one or more of these prompts to structure your pitch:
- Why must we address human trafficking and child exploitation now?
- Many companies are being used, often unknowingly, by organized criminals to enable trafficking. Why should businesses be proactive in preventing these crimes?
- How can we reduce trafficking risk for vulnerable people and make visible those who feel invisible?
- In what ways is this issue time‑sensitive?
- How can we engage Gen Z to be more aware and vigilant for themselves and others?
- How does a campaign to end trafficking improve our shared humanity?
Tips for a strong two‑minute pitch
- Start with a clear thesis: one sentence that says what you believe and why.
- Use a short example or statistic (if you have one) to add credibility.
- Speak directly to your audience—what can they do, and why should they care?
- Be concise and focused; practice so you stay within 2 minutes.
- Check lighting and sound so your message is easy to hear and see.
