Description

This scholarship recognizes students who contribute to stronger, more resilient communities through volunteerism, collaboration, and direct service. Applicants must submit an essay describing how local organizations, groups, clubs, or individual actions have supported and uplifted community members. The essay should celebrate collective effort, illustrate impact, and inspire continued civic engagement. The program aims to honor both the causes and the student leaders who help them grow.

Eligibility

Applicants must be legal U.S. residents (50 states or D.C.) who will be enrolled in an eligible educational program for the Spring 2025 semester. Eligible applicants include high school seniors, vocational students, college students, and graduate students enrolled in vocational programs or two- to four-year post-secondary institutions. Candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and may not be employees, immediate family members, or household members of Dan Doyle Law Group employees. Preference will be given to students from or attending secondary school in the sponsoring state.

- **Enrollment:** Must be enrolled for Spring 2025 in an eligible program.
- **Academic Standing:** Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
- **Ineligible Parties:** Dan Doyle Law Group employees, their immediate family, and household members.
- **Preference:** Priority for in-state secondary-school students.

Award Value

One recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship to support continuing education expenses. The award is intended to help the selected student pursue tuition, fees, books, or other education-related costs. Funds are awarded based on demonstrated commitment and measurable impact in community service rather than financial need alone.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit a single essay (750–1,000 words) that addresses the specified prompt and demonstrates firsthand involvement or observation of community efforts. The essay should analyze how individuals and organizations collaborate to provide aid, and should highlight examples of transformative impact and solidarity. Writing should be original, clear, and reflective; creativity and concrete examples strengthen an application.

Reviewers will select the student whose service and narrative best exemplify selfless community leadership. All essays will be screened for AI-generated content; any application found to contain AI writing will be disqualified.
