Overview - Each year NYSSPA awards scholarships to Physician Assistants (PAs) and PA student members. Winners receive a monetary scholarship, complimentary registration to NYSSPA’s annual CME Conference, and recognition at the Clara Vanderbilt Gala. Scholarships offered - PA Student Scholarships — three awards - Kenneth Whitney PA Memorial Scholarship — one award - Note: The 2026 scholarship application portal opens in May 2026. PA Student Scholarships — details - Number and amount: Three (3) scholarships, $1,500 each. - Mentorship: Recipients will be paired with a current NYSSPA Board Member or Committee Chair for mentorship, supporting their growth as future PAs, leaders, and advocates. - Recognition and conference benefits: Scholarship winners receive complimentary conference registration and are honored at the Clara Vanderbilt Gala. - Important: Only complete application packets will be reviewed by the scholarship committee. Who is eligible — PA Student Scholarship criteria - Must be a current NYSSPA PA Student member. - Must be enrolled in an ARC‑PA–accredited PA program located in the state of New York. - Must be in the graduate/post‑bachelor phase of PA education (i.e., a PA student beyond the undergraduate level). - Must not have previously received a NYSSPA scholarship. - Must not be a current NYSSPA Board Member or Committee Chair. If you meet these criteria, mark your calendar for May 2026 when the application portal opens and prepare a complete packet so your application can be considered.
