Women's Southern Golf Association Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Women's Southern Golf Association
Overview
The Women’s Southern Golf Association (WSGA) offers an academic scholarship to help deserving female students from the 15 southern states and the District of Columbia pay for four years of undergraduate study. This is an academic award for graduating high school seniors who play or are interested in golf — it is not an athletic scholarship.
Award Details
- Amount: $4,500 for the first year, with a commitment of $4,500 for each of up to three additional undergraduate years (maximum of four years total).
- Renewal: Each renewal is subject to an annual review of the student’s academic performance, continued interest in golf, and financial need. Recipients must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
- Current program: Four scholarships are awarded each year.
- Payment: WSGA will pay the scholarship directly to the accredited college. Half is sent at the start of the first semester; the remaining half is released once the recipient has met the minimum GPA requirement and is accepted for the next semester.
