How the money may be used
- The scholarship is intended for tuition and other education-related expenses, including (but not limited to): textbooks, supplies (paper, pens, notebooks), required technology, on-campus dining, housing, and transportation.
- Payment method: the award is disbursed directly to the student as a cash prize. Recipients are responsible for any tax reporting and obligations. We strongly recommend consulting a tax professional.
Who is eligible
To apply, you must:
- Be a current resident of Texas.
- Be an undergraduate or postgraduate student pursuing a degree or career path in a medicine-related field. You may attend an institution in person or online and in any location.
- Provide one letter of recommendation that includes valid contact information.
- Upload a professional headshot of yourself.
- Complete the application form and submit original essay answers (essays will be screened for AI-generated content).
- Agree that, if selected, your name and photo may be used publicly in connection with the scholarship.
