Massachusetts Elks Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Massachusetts Elks Scholarship Inc.
Purpose The Massachusetts Elks Association, through Massachusetts Elks Scholarship Inc., supports deserving young men and women who need financial help to pursue a four‑year college bachelor’s degree. Grants are awarded to students who show financial need, academic promise, and good citizenship. If a recipient continues to demonstrate need and maintains strong academic performance, the grant may be renewed each year.
Who is eligible
- The scholarship is intended only for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree at a four‑year undergraduate college.
- Assistance is not available for night school, professional or vocational schools, graduate programs, or part‑time study at a college or university.
- Applicants must be graduates of accredited high schools.
- Applicants must be endorsed by the jurisdictional lodge of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (B.P.O. Elks), or by the lodge of which the applicant’s parent or guardian is a member.
- Applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, creed, or gender.
Application requirements and process
- No application will be reviewed until it is complete and includes all required supporting documentation.
- All submissions must use the official Massachusetts Elks Scholarship forms.
- Applications must be signed and dated by the lodge’s Exalted Ruler or Secretary and by the Lodge Scholarship Chairman in the jurisdiction where the applicant lives or the lodge of which the parent/guardian is a member.
