Iowa Ready Mixed Concrete Association Scholarships

The Iowa Concrete Paving Association (ICPA) and the Iowa Ready Mixed Concrete Association (IRMCA) are delighted to announce their respective scholarship programs for the year 2025. These scholarships are designed to support students who have reached sophomore status or higher and are pursuing degrees in Civil or Construction Engineering at Iowa State University (ISU) and the University of Iowa (U of I), or Construction Management at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI).

The ICPA Executive Committee will determine the amount of each scholarship annually, with awards being presented during the ICPA’s Annual Concrete Paving Workshop in February. Similarly, the IRMCA Scholarship/Educational Outreach Committee will determine the amount of each scholarship for students seeking degrees related to careers in the ready-mixed concrete and construction/engineering industries. These scholarships will be awarded at the IRMCA's Annual Convention in March 2025.

Eligibility for these scholarships extends to students pursuing a Concrete Industry Management degree from South Dakota State University, as well as students from Dordt University, MNSU-Mankato, and UW-Platteville.

Additional eligibility is extended to students with immediate family working for an IRMCA Member. These students must be enrolled at an accredited two- or four-year institution of higher learning in Iowa, pursuing a degree in any area of study, and have attained sophomore status or higher.

The selection process for these scholarships will be conducted by the IRMCA Scholarship/Educational Outreach Committee. The committee will base their decisions on the applicant’s demonstrated academic achievement, financial need, relevance of area of study to the industry, and other achievements and activities.

While all eligible students will be considered for these awards, the Iowa Ready Mixed Concrete Association reserves the right to give preference to applicants who are residents of the state of Iowa, plan to live and work in Iowa after college, are related to an employee of an IRMCA member company, or have experience in the ready-mixed concrete industry.
