Here’s a clearer, more teacher-like version of your scholarship information — organized so a student can read it once and know exactly what to do.

About the program
- Since it began, the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation (SACHCC Foundation), a subsidiary of the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SACHCC), has awarded more than $665,000 in scholarships to recent high school graduates and current college students. 2. Contact information — full name, address, email, and phone number. If you or your family are members of the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber, include the name of the business.
3. Personal statement — explain your educational path and career goals. Describe how this award will help you reach those goals. If you are applying for the Mayor Joe Serna, Jr. Leadership Scholarship, include concrete examples of your leadership (roles, actions, results).
4. Community involvement/service — list current and past school and community activities, including volunteer work. Briefly explain how these experiences affected you or what you learned from them.
5. Financial need — describe your financial situation and how you are financing your education.
6. Transcripts — attach unofficial transcripts for your high school and/or college coursework.
7. One letter of recommendation — the writer should evaluate your academic potential, public service, leadership experience, financial need, and other qualities that indicate your potential for future success.

A few practical tips (from a teacher)
- Follow the checklist exactly and include everything requested.
- Be specific and give examples (dates, roles, outcomes) rather than general statements.
- Ask your recommender to address the points listed above so their letter is useful to reviewers.
- Proofread everything before submitting.

If you want, I can help you turn your personal statement or résumé into a stronger submission.
