Here’s a clearer, teacher-friendly version of the application guidelines — organized so you can quickly see what’s required, what the selection committee is looking for, and how to submit.
Overview
- Five scholarships of $16,000 each will be awarded to graduating Colorado high school students for the 2026–2027 school year.
- One of those five scholarships is reserved for a graduating senior from a Montrose County, Colorado high school (this must be shown on the official transcript). Montrose applicants are also eligible for the four general scholarships.
Who is eligible
- Must be a graduating high school student in Colorado.
- Minimum high school GPA: 2.5.
- Must demonstrate strong financial need.
- Should show a positive attitude, commitment, and a clear drive to achieve.
What to submit
All of the following must be received by the deadline:
1. Completed application form.
2. Official high school transcript (must show school and graduation status; transcripts should indicate Montrose County attendance for the Montrose-designated scholarship).
3. A written essay that:
- Reflects your personality and achievements,
- Describes your short- and long-term goals,
- Helps the committee understand why you should receive support.
Deadline and submission options
- Deadline: Friday, April 17, 2026, by 5:00 p.m. (no exceptions).
