NVPS Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by New Visions for Public Schools
Since its establishment in 2009, the NVPS Scholarship has been offering up to $5,000 annually, which can accumulate to $20,000 over a four-year period, to support the full-time undergraduate studies of its recipients. The scholarship amount is based on several factors including leadership skills, community involvement, academic excellence, resilience, and financial need. This competitive scholarship is granted to a select group of students graduating from one of the 71 New Visions schools, who plan to start college in the Fall.
Who Qualifies for the Scholarship?
Eligible candidates are seniors in New Visions schools who are set to graduate and exhibit the following:
- Academic prowess, proof of challenging coursework, robust independent learning abilities, inquisitiveness, and self-drive;
- Preparedness for college, capability to surpass the demands of rigorous high school coursework;
- Leadership roles in school and community initiatives;
- Integrity, actions that reflect moral strength and ethical consciousness;
- Resilience and determination in surmounting hurdles and accomplishing objectives;
- Financial need.
Application Process
Applications are not currently being accepted. However, for future application cycles, students will need to submit the following online:
- ONE student essay:
