What the St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship is
- This is the largest healthcare scholarship program in Texas, created to honor the late W. Neal Kocurek, Ph.D., and to advance his vision for a more equitable Central Texas.
- Who can apply: high school seniors from the five counties listed above who intend to study a healthcare field and will attend college in Texas.
- How applicants are chosen: a combination of academic merit and demonstrated financial need.
What the award covers
- Up to $7,500 per year for up to four years of undergraduate study at Texas colleges and universities.
- Up to four additional years for graduate study or medical school at the same per-year level (total possible award up to $60,000 over a student’s higher-education career).
- For students attending Texas community colleges, awards are up to $4,000 per year.
