Kentucky Nurses Foundation Scholarships

The Mildred Metz Scholarship is a financial award of $2,000, designated for a pre-licensure student, either pursuing an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), who is currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing within the state of Kentucky. Please note that pre-nursing students are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. Additionally, applicants must be student members of the Kentucky Nurses Association (KNA). This scholarship serves as a tribute to Mildred Metz, who dedicated her career to nursing education as the director of the Norton Memorial Infirmary School of Nursing.
The Nursing Excellence Scholarship is another $2,000 award available to pre-licensure students, either ADN or BSN, who are enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing in Kentucky. Pre-nursing students are not eligible for this scholarship. Applicants must also be KNA student members. This scholarship is a testament to the dedication and hard work of all Kentucky Nurses.
The Rural Nursing Scholarship is a unique financial award, the amount of which ranges from $1,500 to $10,000, depending on the funds raised through donations and other fundraising efforts of the Kentucky Nurses Foundation (KNF). This scholarship is open to pre-licensure students, ADN or BSN, or licensed nurses who are furthering their education and are enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing in Kentucky. Pre-nursing students are not eligible to apply. Applicants must also be KNA student members or KNA members. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial support to pre-licensure nursing students and licensed nurses who are currently practicing or plan to practice in rural areas of the Commonwealth.
