Iowa Arabian Horse Association Scholarships

Every year, the Iowa Arabian Horse Association (IaAHA) provides scholarship opportunities at the club level for both graduating high school seniors and members pursuing further education. The announcement of the scholarship recipients is a highlight of the annual Iowa Fall Society Horse Extravaganza. The IaAHA awards two primary scholarships: 1. Graduating Senior Scholarship: This $750 award is given to a high school senior who has graduated in the current application year and is a member in good standing of the Iowa Arabian Horse Association. 2. Continuing Education Scholarship: This $750 award is given to a student, of any age, who is currently pursuing a degree at a two-year or four-year institution and is a member in good standing of the Iowa Arabian Horse Association. For those interested in applying, please carefully follow the instructions provided on the application form. An integral part of the application process is the submission of an essay. Applicants are required to write a 500-1000 word essay on the topic provided on the scholarship page of the club's website. To make your application stand out, you may choose to include original artwork, drawings, photography, poetry, etc. to enhance your presentation. The essay will be evaluated based on its content (50%), creativity (25%), and grammar/mechanics (25%).
