The Board of Directors for the Kentucky Labor-Management Conference (KLMC) is delighted to announce the availability of up to $8,000 in scholarship funds for the fall 2025 academic term. These funds are open to students enrolled in graduate, undergraduate, or technical programs. We urge eligible students to apply promptly, as the deadline for applications, which must be postmarked no later than August 1, 2025, is fast approaching. The Kentucky Labor-Management Conference Scholarship is generously sponsored by the KLMC Board of Directors.

Eligibility for this scholarship is as follows:

1. Graduating high school seniors who have been accepted into a college, university, or technical school and have maintained a grade point average of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
2. Current college, university, or technical school students who have maintained a grade point average of 2.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).

In addition, all applicants must meet the following criteria:

(a) Be a legal resident of the State of Kentucky.
(b) Be actively pursuing an associate, baccalaureate, or graduate degree or technical certification.
(c) Not be an immediate family member of a member of the KLMC Board of Directors.
(d) Plan to pursue a career in a labor relations-related field or an apprenticeship trade.

Please note that the student’s current field of study does not affect eligibility.

The KLMC Board of Directors will announce the scholarship recipients during the 2025 Kentucky Labor-Management Conference. The scholarship funds will be distributed as follows:

- Up to $1,000 for graduating high school seniors.
- Up to $2,000 for graduate programs.
- Up to $1,500 for four-year undergraduate programs.
- Up to $1,000 for two-year associate or technical programs.

These funds are intended to assist with tuition or other educational expenses related to the student’s field of study.

Selection of scholarship recipients will be based on merit, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status. Successful applicants will demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in a labor relations-related field or an approved apprenticeship trade, as well as leadership qualities and academic achievement.

Please note that the selected scholarship recipients will be required to submit a high school or college transcript (as applicable) before the scholarship funds are awarded.
