Injury Advocacy Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Schlack & Bassmaji
At Schlack & Bassmaji, we recognize the profound impact a serious injury can have on your life. The accumulation of medical bills, loss of income, and the time required for recovery can significantly disrupt your life and the lives of your loved ones. It's crucial to be as prepared as possible for these unforeseen circumstances, but unfortunately, that's often not the case.
Injuries can occur anywhere - on the streets, at work, or even at home. We are interested in hearing your experiences. It's vital to raise awareness about the frequency of injuries caused by the negligence of others.
That's why we are proud to announce the 2025 Injury Advocacy Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to highlight injuries that occurred due to someone else's fault. We invite you to submit your application and share your story before the September 1, 2025 deadline to be considered for this opportunity.
Eligibility Criteria
- The scholarship is open to current high school seniors, vocational students, college students, or graduate students who are legal U.S. residents residing in any of the 50 states or the District of Columbia. Applicants must be enrolled in a vocational program or a two- to four-year post-secondary institution.
- Employees of Schlack & Bassmaji, their immediate family members (including parents, children, siblings, and spouses), and individuals living in the same household (whether related or not) are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be in good academic standing.
Application Requirements
- Applicants must complete the form below with all necessary information.
- Applicants must submit a 750-1,000 word essay in response to the following prompt: Have you or a loved one experienced an injury due to someone else’s negligence? Have you provided aid to someone who has had one of these experiences? Share your story, the consequences of the injury, and how you advocated for the safety of the injured individual. Have you taken steps in the community to better protect those who are injured? What do you think could be done to better protect the rights of injured people? How would your life be different if you hadn’t had this experience? Please note that all essays will be checked for AI writing. If AI writing is detected, the application will be disqualified.
- Applicants must submit a professional resume detailing their professional and academic experience.
- Applicants must submit a transcript from their current school. First-year college students, graduate students, or individuals who have recently transferred schools may submit an unofficial transcript from their current school and the most recent official transcript from their prior school.
