Who should apply
- This scholarship is for students who received an Undergraduate Sachs Scholarship, have (or will have) completed their undergraduate degree within the last three years, and are now pursuing a graduate degree.
Award amount and length
- Sachs Foundation Graduate Scholarships provide $10,000 per year. Awards may be renewed for up to four years, depending on your course of study.
Application window and deadlines
- Applications are available online from January 1 through March 15 each year.
- The completed application and all required materials must be received by the Sachs Foundation by March 15.
- Your letter of recommendation must arrive by March 31.
- Late submissions are not eligible for consideration.
Required materials (prepare these before you begin)
- Full college or university transcript.
- One letter of recommendation from someone at your college or university (professor, counselor, dean, coach, etc.).
- A personal statement plus an additional essay (350–500 words).
- Your Student Aid Report (SAR).
- Information from your household’s most recent tax return.
Important notes and tips
- Incomplete or inaccurate applications slow processing and can disqualify you. Double-check every document and all dates before you submit.
- Treat this as a checklist: gather your transcript, SAR, and tax information early, and ask for your recommendation letter well before the March 31 deadline so it arrives on time.
