Scholarship Sponsored by Elks National Foundation

The Elks National Foundation offers scholarships exclusively for undergraduate students. During a single academic year, a student is eligible to receive only one grant or scholarship from the Elks National Foundation.

The awarding of scholarships (with the exception of EEG) is validated by a Certificate of Award, dispensed by the Elks National Foundation's office in Chicago. All payments are made directly to the educational institution; we are unable to make payments straight to the student.

Our scholarship funds can be used to cover attendance costs. To collect the payment, the school must forward a completed Verification of Enrollment form to our Chicago office. Following receipt of this, we will write a check, payable to the institution, and send it directly to the school to be credited to the student's account. We will inform the student when the check has been mailed.

As the majority of checks are processed between August and November, both the student and the school should allow a period of four to six weeks for the payment to be made.

If a student discontinues their studies for any reason, the remaining balance of the grant MUST be returned directly to our Chicago office. The balance CANNOT be transferred to another institution or paid out to the student.

It falls to the student to oversee all matters related to their scholarship.

When corresponding about a scholarship recipient, we need to have the student's full name and their ENF ID.

This information must not be shared with publishers or entities looking to include it in a database. We have received countless inquiries from students who have paid for outdated or ineligible scholarship information. Regrettably, many of these resources do not provide complete information or regularly update their databases.

The Elks National Foundation does not provide loan programs, vocational grants, support for postgraduate studies, and does not keep a mailing list.

Students wishing to use their scholarship for a study abroad program must have the program billed through an accredited U.S. institution that grants degrees. We are unable to disburse funds to a third-party program or vendor.

The Elks National Foundation retains the right to revoke a scholarship entirely if we do not hear from the student for two successive academic years.
