The BMW AG Scholarship is a testament to the company's unwavering dedication to engineering excellence. BMW, a globally renowned entity, is celebrated for its design and production of luxury, high-performance automobiles and motorcycles. Furthermore, the company is at the forefront of innovation in the development and manufacturing of high-tech, high-performance internal combustion engines.
Prospective applicants are expected to exhibit active involvement in extracurricular activities related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). These activities should be beyond the confines of the classroom, such as participation in clubs or associations dedicated to STEM fields.
Eligibility Criteria
Aspiring candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Residency in the United States.
- Must be an incoming freshman.
- A minimum unweighted grade point average of 3.75.
- Intention to pursue an engineering or related science degree through an ABET accredited program. The candidate should have an interest in mobility and advanced or emerging technologies such as (but not limited to) Automated and Unmanned, Connectivity, Cybersecurity, Shared or Micro Mobility, Electrification, Quantum Computing, or Blockchain.
- Submission of two (2) Letters of Recommendation - one (1) focusing on academic achievements and another (1) highlighting involvement in extracurricular activities or employment.
- Active participation in a STEM-related extracurricular activity, club, or employment/shadowing that aligns with the intended engineering major.
